Junior/Senior Meal Plan
The Junior/Senior Meal Plan consists of $300.00 Coyote Cash per term. This plan is for juniors and seniors living on or off campus.

Freshman/Sophomore Commuter Meal Plan
The Freshman/Sophomore Meal Plan consists of $600.00 Coyote Cash per term. This plan is for freshmen and sophomores living off campus.

Meals do not carry over from term to term. Coyote Cash does carry over within an academic year as long as the student continues on a meal plan for Winter/Spring term (includes any remaining funds on the Junior/Senior and Freshman/Sophomore plans). Meals and Coyote Cash not used by the end of the academic year will be lost.

Meal Plan Descriptions

Meal Plan A is for students who plan on eating most of their daily meals in the Simplot Café.  Each term allows for approximately 13 meals a week.

Meal Plan B is for students who plan on eating regularly in Simplot Café. Each term allows for approximately 10 meals a week.

Meal Plan C is for students who plan on eating only one meal a day in Simplot Café. Each term allows for approximately 7 meals a week.

*A meal plan is required for all unmarried students under 26 year of age without dependants.
**To file a petition to adjust a meal plan for the following semester, visit the McCain front desk.
***Students can add dollars to their cards at any time during the academic year for use at both McCain and Simplot. Additional dollars can be added through any Bon Appétit cashier or in the
C of I Business Office. These added dollars carry over from term to term. The C of I Business Office refunds any remaining dollars at the end of the academic year.

Q: If I live in the Residence Halls, do I have to have a dining plan?

Yes, a meal plan is required for all unmarried students under 26 year of age without dependants. Students living off campus still have the option to purchase a traditional meal plan. Freshman and sophomores living off campus have the option of the Freshman/Sophomore Commuter Meal Plan and juniors and seniors have the option of the Junior/Senior Meal Plan.

Q. What if I want to change my dining plan?
Absolutely, you may upgrade your meal plan at anytime by filling out a meal plan change request form and delivering it to us at the C of I Business Office. If you wish to downgrade your meal plan, you may only do this during the first week of the semester. To file a petition to adjust a meal plan for the following semester, please visit the McCain front desk or C of I Business Office.  


Q. What if I run out of Coyote Cash?
You can always add Coyote Cash, at any time, in any amount. Students can add dollars to their cards at any time during the academic year for use at both McCain and Simplot Cafe. Additional dollars can be added through any Bon Appétit cashier or in the C of I Business Office.

 
Q. What happens if I have Coyote Cash left over at the end of the semester?
At the end of the semester, the Coyote Cash will transfer. At the end of the academic year however, any unspent Coyote Cash will not carry over and will be forfeited.

Q. I live off campus, is there a plan for me?
Absolutely, we offer a specific meal plan for off-campus students. You can enjoy the convenience of great meals on campus while studying or spending time with friends. You can also purchase Coyote Cash, allowing you to spend those dollars at any Bon Appétit food venue.

Q. I have special dietary needs. Who should I see?
Visit the Bon Appétit office and speak with the General Manager. If you have medical or dietary restrictions, we will do everything possible to meet your special needs.
